This innovative device utilizes a distinctive current waveform to amplify the savory and umami flavors of low-sodium foods, resulting in a taste that is approximately 1.5 times saltier*2,3.

Initially, only 200 units will be made available at Kirin’s official online store (https://electricsalt.shop.kirin.co.jp/), followed by the arrival of additional units at Hands Inc. stores in June. Developed in collaboration with Meiji University’s Miyashita Laboratory, this groundbreaking spoon aims to encourage healthier eating habits by enhancing taste without the need for extra sodium.
