LEBARA was born in 2001. Created by three entrepreneurs, our name was formed from the first 2 letters of their names LEon, BAskaran & RAtheesan. In those days, the big networks used to charge an arm and a leg to stay connected with your loved ones abroad. Our founders saw this as an opportunity and disrupted the telecoms industry in Europe with international calls from just 1p per minute, cementing Lebara as true pioneers in value.
